Kraft-Faced Batt Insulation

Kraft-faced batts are what many consider to be traditional insulation. It is made of quality fiberglass that blocks the outside elements, and has a brown paper facing attached to one side. The paper acts as a vapor barrier, and prevents water and moisture from sneaking through the walls. We offer this product in 15”, 16”, 23”, and 24” width, with R-values ranging from R13 to R49.

Unfaced Batt Insulation

Unfaced insulation is great for acting as a barrier to keep rooms comfortable and protected from the outside heat or chill. It’s not waterproof, so this product should be used where there already is a vapor barrier or no need for moisture control. We carry 15” and 23” widths, both with an R-value of R19.

Rockwool Comfortbatts

Rockwool insulation products set themselves apart from traditional fiberglass insulation with superior insulating capabilities. This brand is made of volcanic rock rather than fiberglass, giving it great heat-trapping/blocking abilities and making it resistant to flames in emergencies. Comfortbatt also offers great soundproofing capabilities, making your home a bit more peaceful. MRD carries Rockwool Comfortbatt R15 & R23, as well as the Safe’n’Sound variety, designed solely for soundproofing.
