Our Pressure-Treated Lumber Inventory
MRD has a wide selection of pressure-treated lumber to fit the needs of any building or construction project. We are proud to carry:
Pressure Treated Framing Lumber
These products are ideal for the structural framing of fences, porches, decks, and outdoor buildings like sheds or barns. They also work great for floor joists and wall studs in areas that are exposed to lots of moisture on a regular basis.
Our selection of framing lumber is stamped #1 grade, and surfaced on all four sides to help you get started right away. With both our ground contact and above ground offerings, we have boards in 2x4, 2x6, 2x8, 2x10, and 2x12, with lengths ranging from 8’ to 10’.
Premium & Select Grade Pressure-Treated Lumber
These products are visually cleaner and straighter, perfect for higher-end projects or visible framing. These are rated #1 Prime or Select, and come in 2x4, 2x6, 2x8 with lengths 16’ and up.
Pressure-Treated Decking Boards
For perfect deck floors, steps, and walkways, our decking boards are the clear choice. These boards are pre-cut and smoothed, making them ready to be comfortably walked on. We offer these boards in 5/4" x 6" boards in 10'–16' lengths, with both surfaced and grooved options available.
Heavy-Duty Ground Posts
These posts are thicker and more durable, built to be placed right in the ground to support a large deck or porch. They are rated for ground contact, meaning they can confidently be placed in high-moisture environments. These are 4x4, 6x6, and larger, typically 8’ and longer.
Fire-Rated Plywood
Plywood treated with fire-resistant coatings are great for garages or commercial buildings. We have fire-rated plywood sheets that are 4’x8’, and come in 1/2", 5/8", and 3/4" thicknesses

Pressure-Treated Lumber Materials Frequently Asked Questions:
Does pressure-treated lumber need to be maintained?
Pressure-treated lumber still requires maintenance, just like all lumber products. Without sealing and cleaning consistently, it can be damaged by moisture and the sun’s UV rays, even though it has already been pressure-treated.
How long does pressure-treated lumber last?
It depends on where the lumber is being used, but pressure-treated lumber can last anywhere from 10 to 40 years. The less moisture and sun it's exposed to and the more you maintain it, the longer the pressure-treated lumber will last.
What pressure-treated lumber is treated the most?
Ground-contact lumber is treated the most. It has lots of treatments to preserve the lumber while being in contact with the dirt, moisture, and insects found on the ground
Is pressure-treated lumber waterproof?
Pressure-treated lumber is not waterproof. It resists water well and can be even more water-resistant with continuous maintenance, but it is not immune to rotting and damage from water.
